Calculate Waste and Cost for a Two-Color Print

Scenario

A two-color object has separately reported waste.

Inputs and assumptions

Blue: model 80, support 5, purge 12, tower 3 g at USD 20/kg. White: model 40, support 0, purge 8, tower 2 g at USD 24/kg.

Calculation steps

  1. Blue total = 100 g; white total = 50 g.
  2. Model = 120 g; extras = 30 g.
  3. Waste share = 30 ÷ 150 = 20%.
  4. Cost = 100 × .020 + 50 × .024.

Result

150 g total, 20% extras and USD 3.20 material cost.

Limits

In inclusive mode enter 100 and 50 as totals. Do not add the 30 g extras again.
