How SPOOLNIVA handles local inventory data and backups.

Cookies and local storage

The application does not set cookies. IndexedDB is used to provide the inventory and project records you choose to save. No advertising or tracking storage is included.

The tools calculate in your browser. Spools, projects, allocations, usage records and settings are saved in IndexedDB under this website’s origin. The application does not upload these records, require an account or include analytics, advertising scripts or external fonts.

Files you control

JSON export creates a complete backup on your device; CSV export creates an inventory or purchase report. Imported JSON is read locally, validated and used to replace local records only after confirmation. Anyone with access to exported files may be able to read their contents. Choose an appropriate storage location.

Retention and loss

Data remains until you change it, replace it by import, or clear site storage. Browser cleanup, eviction, private browsing and device loss can remove it. Backups are your responsibility; local storage is not a guarantee of permanence. Moving to a different domain or browser profile does not automatically transfer records.

Website delivery

Loading static files requires requests to the server that hosts the site. Its technical handling depends on the deployment. No optional third-party network services are built into this application. Some guides link to external documentation; following those links opens another website with its own privacy practices. Browser site settings can be used to remove local data.
