Spool Remaining Calculator
Weigh a used spool to estimate its remaining grams, length and value.

Reserve compatible spools across projects without deducting stock until completion.
Unallocated demand is reduced by compatible free stock to calculate the aggregate purchase shortage. Separate jobs or planned spool changes may still be necessary.
Available grams = physical remaining grams − active reservations. Requirement = per-item grams × project quantity. Unallocated demand = requirement − allocated grams. Aggregate purchase shortage = max(0, unallocated demand − compatible free stock).
Add one or more material requirements, then allocate compatible material and color. Partial allocations are allowed. A gap is unallocated demand, which may still be covered by free stock. Separate allocations across spools require a practical spool change or separate print jobs. Editing releases reservations; cancellation preserves the audit history. Completion asks for actual use per allocation.

Weigh a used spool to estimate its remaining grams, length and value.

Convert mass, length and volume using your filament diameter and density.

Check one spool against a slicer estimate and an explicit safety allowance.
How can several pending jobs share stock without promising the same grams twice?
