Planning guide
How to Estimate Prints per Spool
How many complete parts fit within the measured stock?
Work through the process
- Slice one part with its required supports.
- Add a per-part allowance if appropriate.
- Divide available grams by buffered grams per part and round down.
Formula and worked illustration
With 460 g available and 35 g per part plus 10%, each planned part uses 38.5 g. floor(460 รท 38.5) = 11 complete parts.
Inputs and limits
A combined plate can change support and purge overhead. Re-slice the final layout rather than multiplying blindly.
Use the Batch Print Planner to change the assumptions and compare your own inputs. Examples here are illustrative calculations, not results from a physical print test.
